Charitable Gambling

EHA's mission is to provide a community based and volunteer-driven program to promote the growth and development of our players. Our Association works to promote a fun, fair, and safe environment that maximizes participation and improves players' skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence. Membership is open to all players who live within the Eagan High School attendance area as defined by ISD 196.

A successful charitable gambling program takes years to develop and requires constant time-consuming oversight. Our charitable gambling program, which is a 5-star rating determined by the State of MN, utilizes the funds to help keep expensive hockey program costs down. One hour of ice-time can cost in excess of $250. Even though our registration costs are still higher than other Eagan sports (up to $1,900/player), providing reasonable registration costs allows more families the ability to participate in the sport of hockey. The EHA Board of Directors has also been donating to the Eagan community since 2000. Many EHA players participate in other Eagan sports. EHA does not donate to individual teams or private clubs. All donations are dependent on availability of funds.

All donations are made possible because of our partnerships with Trail Stop Tavern, Wildcats Bar & Grill, Ansari's Mediterranean Grill & Lounge, Loan Oak Grill, Union 32 Craft House, and 721 Sports Bar & Lounge. Images to promote EHA and these establishments can be found below.

If you would like to apply for a donation, please complete the form below to be considered. The EHA Board of Directors will review requests for donations on a quarterly basis, on the second Monday of the month in March, June, September, and December. Please plan the timing of your application and need for funds accordingly.
